Other sensors

Throttle position sensor (TPS)

Lambda sensor

ECU supports both narrowband and wideband (WBO) sensors. External controller is required for the WBO sensor.

Warning

Lambda sensor heater should be engaged only after engine start. For better WBO longetivity, turn on the sensor power after the engine warms up above 35-40deg, and with a delay of at least 5s after start.

Knock Sensor

2 knock sensors are supported (DD1 and DD2 inputs)

Wideband knock sensor is required. Old narrowband sensor should be replaced with the modern wideband.

Knock sensor has polarity. With wrong polarity the signal level is lower. To determine the correct polarity - try to connect the sensor with both polarities, and leave the option at which the signal level is higher.

If engine has more than 2 knock sensors - combine senors into pairs:

Speed sensor

Inductive sensor

The sensor is connected to a free inductive input

Connection in parallel with the existing ABS sensor. If the wire is shielded, the connection must also be shielded.

Hall sensor

Usually this is the speed sensor in the gearbox. The sensor is connected to a free DHx input.

For parallel connection, a connection is made to the signal wire.

Current-based sensor

This is sensor with IC inside, but only 2 wires.

We can get a voltage sufficient for VR input operation by installing a small resistor into the negative wire.

Fuel level sensor

The sensor is connected to a free analog input

Connecting to the stock dashboard

Connect in parallel with the stock fuel level signal. An input without a pull up is used.

Connecting a separate sensor

Fuel level sensors have a wide range of resistances. The built-in pull-up will work well for sensors with resistance greater than 5kΩ. For low-impedance sensors, you need to do an external pull-up to +5V.

The resistance of the pull-up = 0.2-0.5 of the resistance of the sensor, but not less than 200Ω, to avoid overloading the +5V line.

Boost level knob

An external variable resistor can be connected to control the maximum boost. The resistor is connected to a free analog input without pull-up.

FlexFuel sensor

The FlexFuel sensor is supported on hardware v2.0 and higher.

The sensor signal is fed to the DH2 input.
