At idle, RPM jumps 1000 - 2000 - 1000 - 2000 and so on.

If you block the IAC valve hose, RPM should fall below 550. If RPM hasn’t dropped, look for air leaks. Check throttle stop adjustments

If RPM have dropped, it is necessary to adjust, clean, or replace the Idle switch on the throttle valve.
