High idle (no idle valve)

I have a mercedes 190 without the standard idle valve.

Apparantly certain models pre 1990 have dont have this valve

In the manual it states to connect the (invent) idle signal to port 3 of the 25p and disconnect the original connector.
In my ecu p3 is empty (probably because the car is not meant for icv)

How do i set this up, the car starts and runs around 2500rpm. Im still figuring out if i can change settings wich improve the situation.
Does anyone have a tip?

If the car runs at 2500 - there is definitely some kind of throttle bypass.
Do you have any documentation about your engine variant?

JHM current engine is a m102.985
Original is a 2.0 m102 (i have to look up the code)

Possibly error in vacuüm lines? I completely deleted the cold start injector. I have to double check the connections.

I also have vacuüm diagrams i can check tommorow

Or is it possible that he block (by the oil filter) is a sort of icv, this piece is transported from original engine.
The "new" engine had a different type of connection.
If im correct the vaccum hose connects to that piece

I also had contact with Garage of previous owner, they dont recal there ever being a icv on this car.

I will look into the workshop manual for this engine tomorrow again.

Well, first you have to find and seal air bypass. Then - install ICV. Connection is quite simple - input before throttle, output after throttle. You can get idea where to connect ICV output from our m103 guide.

JHM and the valve gets a supply from the invent ecu? And ground?

Connect ICV as following:

12v from the ECU
IDLE wire

I found some documentation, the document states that there are 2 types of idle valves and the car uses one or the other, as you can see in my first pic i have the small one next to my oil filter. Can the invent control this unit?

Invent can control 2-wire valve. It is usually found on m102 and m103 engines.

If your valve is of proportional type (more current flow - more air flow) - Invent should work well with it.

Yes, this is correct connection.
Try using the Manual slider on the Idle tab to adjust idle RPM
