Ignition control for audi 2.3l NF engine

Hello!

Im looking at manual here:

The link to forum thread for audi at the bottom no longer works - is it possible for you to somehow revive it?

More specifically Im interested what hardware modifications do I need for 2.3l NF engine?
Do I need to install new coil+power stage or stock coil will work (I have BERU 0 040 402 005 currently)?
Do I need to install crankshaft sensor or ignition distributor modification will be sufficient?

On Audi, the only hardware mod you need to do, is to cut the ignition amplifier control wire, and connect it to the emul output. That's it.

I don't know why this thread is gone. Maybe a database bug.

Today I tried ignition control - it actually works good, much smoother iddle now.

I have to use -18deg angle correction in 0 deg fixed mode, to get 0 deg on flywheel , which seems excessive. Will there be any benefit if I adjust distributor to get zero at zero correction?

Only if you have knocking on hot start. Otherwise you can leave it as is.

Thanks for the answer, so I conclude, that it affects the control range? Okay, I will play with it more.
One more question - should I load ignition map file (ignition_map_AAR_v1.impart) or use map inside "v4.1.7_Audi_5cyl_2.3.imf"?
