Injector hats do not fit?

Hullo,

Nowhere in the manual does it say anything about it, but after cutting the injector holes I have to put in the sleeves. However, they dont fit. Is this normal? I can ofcourse drill out the holes. 16mm > 18mm.

Maybe the manual/instructions can be updated because now I cut it first and its more difficult to drill it out, if I knew beforehand I would have drilled first and then cut.

You must have some rare modification of the engine. We've seen 18mm variants only.
Can you tell us the details: model year, engine code, etc?

Euh, it used to be a 300GD, but someone put an M103 in. So now its a 300GE. Original chassis is 1980. Don’t know about the engine…

Unfortunately i cannot drill this one good… I need a partnumber to buy 18mm injector hole manifold.

Does anyone know which one I need to buy?

Nobody has partnumber for M103 3.0 6-cilinder intake manifold with 18mm injector holes?

I have found the correct manifold. The partnumber is R 103 141 16 01 or 1031411601 this one has 18mm injector holes. The rest of the manifold is exactly the same.

I have cut and fit the injectors and rail. They fit well. Placement of the connector for the fuelhose is not the best. It is now right between the throttle linkage. Would probably be better somewhere in the middle or at the very end?

I dont intend on putting the rubber boot back on the intake. I’m just going to put an aluminium intake pipe with a filter on the throttlebody.

IAC is also annoying, i dont understand why it needs such a big hose! I have to figure out a good way to mount it.
