I have been toying around with the software and noticed there is an Ignition control box, is there any info on how to use it? Can it be used to replace the original EZL/TZS on Mercedes engines?
It gives me the impression that it can be used to control the distributor coil just like the TZS does.
It is new feature. Well tested on Audi.
I see it's time to write a manual for it.
It can control ignition instead of EZL.
But you have to replace original VR crankshaft sensor with Hall-type.
If you're curious, I can make instructions for Mercedes with your help.
Excellent! Im up for helping write a manual.
The idea is:
So we can feed the RPM signal directly to the Invent ECU, and from Invent to the new ignition coil.
New crankshaft sensor:
A6429050000 / 9.0654 FACET / 37984 FEBI
New ignition coil:
FACET 8114 / BREMI 11893 / VALEO 245092
Which wire from the ECU should I use to control the coil with?
Is the voltage input for the hall effect 5V or 12V?
Hall sensor should be powered with +12v
ECU use EMUL wire to steer the coil
Hall effect wire signal should be DH, right?
AN should be disconnected
When installing ignition control in an M103 Mercedes engine do I have to swap the 3 teeth flywheel for a 60-2 teeth flywheel?
No, it's intended to work with 3-teeth flywheel.
Would it work with a 2-teeth flywheel form an M102?
Yes, 3-teeth for 6cyl, 2-teeth for 4cyl Mercedes
Perfect, how much can I advance my spark using this method? I will be trying to advance it to around 35 degrees max
