Firmware update error

Hey there,
Today I want it update my old firmware to newest 4.1.5, but allmost instantly I got error and no further communication anymore.
Once in a wild I had same sitauation, I got it work again via bluetooth but no luck in this time.

I did anything what what user manual says, If update fails and If nothing helps. Tried 2 different laptops, checked every connection. Tried like 1000 times today and no communication.
1 laptop got connection via bluetooth but wont load new firmware to ecu. Connection timeout.
Second laptop connects bluetooth only for 3 second but again, connection timeout. Tried any COM-ports, Outgoing, incoming, anytihing.
I got K-line cable, purchased from you, this either not work. I installed all fdit cable drivers from original website, connection with cable is good, seems like it should work fine, but again, if I choose com port with USB and start Firmware update it tells me connection timeout and thats it. Nothing.

Yesterday I had qualification runs in drag race and today (Finals) I didnt even make it to lineup. Very sad day for me.
Bricked car and broken heart. Next run in two weeks, can I make it or have to pass it.

This could happen if the ECU gets power when the ignition is off. The workaround: follow the "if nothing helps" section, but instead of switching the ignition - disconnect the battery terminal.

Didnt make any differents. Same same all is same.
I have only this cable that I purchased from you. Ross-tech cables didnt work either, i have 2 of these.

I can't say anything without seeing the PCB.

Try putting a stripped piece of wire into the connector, to join both ground pins, like this:

Thease OBD grounds are internally bridged.
Good news btw. I got new firmware uploaded via bluetooth. I left car battery terminal unplugged overnight and deleted all previous bluetooth connections from laptop and started all over again from zero (yesterday i did this like 1000 times but car was always powered up). I didnt even breathe when firmware was loading. 😃

And then I decided to track K-line thru obd into cabel and I think I found a problem why this cable didnt work.
K-Line has open circuit from pin to board.

I soldered it back together and then I realised that the other chip is blown. Dont know how this happened. Was it or not, I dont know. If I connected it to car or laptop, red LED-light works great and laptop finds it like it should.

I ordered new cable as well and definitely test this out.

Most important I got my car run again and thanks JHM for helping to find solutions.
