Abezy I followed the guide for installing separate coolant sensor but i might have installed something wrong, because im getting 12v at the plug while not connected, I thought it should be around 5 and when i connected it to the sensor, ecu didnt see the sensor (gave clt sensor error and ??? for temp)
Abezy I found a problem, fixed it and now there isn't 12v on clt wire, that's good, but there's now nothin, measley 0.2v, so I'm guessing there's still something wrong and ecu still doesn't see clt sensor
Abezy Thanks for the reply, I've checked it, I have it on, it only shows 0.04v, when I've pulled 5v to the clt wire, it started working, but yeah, no 5v from the ECU, when I turned that setting off those 0.04v also disappeared
Abezy Update, I've decided to use voltage regulator with stepdown, I'll try to hook that up and see what will happen, it should work in theory
JHM Abezy The sensor is pulling the voltage down. It mean that it has incompatible resistance (should be 2-3 kOhm @ 20 degC) Looks like you're trying to use a dashboard sensor instead of an ECU sensor.
Abezy Maybe, but it seems like I'm not getting voltage even if sensor is disconnected (plug removed), it's still 0.04v
Abezy I checked, no other wire is connected, straight wire from CLT sensor to ECU connector and no other pin is shorted to that wire when I checked with multimeter
JHM Abezy Recheck if CLT mode is saved properly to the ECU I wonder how did you get 12v on the CLT wire?
Abezy I messed up the plugs, I got the reading from the wrong plug accidently, I'm not sure why but original wires to clt sensor are giving 12v, but yeah, I checked it is saved, when I turn that option off I get 0v when its on that wire gives 0.04v
