I would very much like to grind this 1.1mm gap free on the ignition distributor of my car. However, I have no idea how to remove this piece of metal for machining. Is it just a slight miss or do I have to remove the ignition distributor and loosen a screw somewhere?

Also a question about defining the correct position.
I have to set the engine to 0 point (crankshaft number 0°). Then remove the cap and where cylinder 1 is, is that where I should grind free? Or is it the one where the sensor is?

Yes, you have to remove the distributor.

You have to set engine to 1st cylinder TDC. It requires to align camshaft mark too.
Then the hall sensor will point to the place to grind.

I have bougt a new dstributor, shoud I install it first (check timing) and mark or is the a alternative way to find the right postion?

It's better to install it first to avoid mistakes

Today i install the cheap distributor an do the measurment, bevor that i do with a bosch original one. i have 2 differnce and don´t know if i can use the cheap one.

The Sensor is on the pin side not 180° from it. In the Manual it says that the AAR has this an i need the other one like my Original, but the Engine run perfectly fine. is there a other problem with that? Yes i use also Ignition control.
By the Original one, after i folow the manual, it is like on the picture the left side of the metal is in the middle of the sensor. the cheap one it is on the right side. If i can use the cheap one, shoud i cut on the left side like in the manual or the right side o the metall? i thinking that the cheap one has a Inverted signal?

Cheap one is misaligned with the spark distributor cap. It will not work correctly.
If you still want to use it, you need to rotate distributor cap to the correct position (like the old one) and cut new aligners for it.

hello, becouse of that i use the expensive one. i grind perfectly 1,1mm from the one plate.
now i have the problem that my engine don´t start with and without batch injektion.
After long cranking the "phase" lamp goes green like idle and full switch so my grinding is working?
If yes then i just need to find my new timing but even if i move 2cm to the right or left slowly no realy explosion happend (only bangs in the exhoust).
I have fuel and sparks so why wont it start?
Shoud i do the fuel corection again?

found the error, i put it 180° off. Works now perfect. Thank you for the Support

I put the Motor in first cylinder OT so that the Flywheel shows 0° and both valves are closed.
But im not sure if this is the right point to cut the metal (red arrow)?
